Drushti – Vision for Blind was established on 26 January 2013 by Mr. Sagar Dhumal, during his academic journey at Fergusson College, Pune, with the unwavering support of his like-minded college companions. What began as a modest student-driven initiative has evolved into a dedicated organization committed to empowering individuals who are blind and visually impaired.

From the very beginning, our vision has been clear: to replace sympathy with opportunity, charity with empowerment, and barriers with pathways to independence.
We firmly believe that every visually impaired individual possesses immense potential, and it is our responsibility as a society to create environments where this potential can flourish.

Over the years, Drushti has undertaken numerous programs focused on skill development, education support, digital empowerment, mobility training, entrepreneurship development, and holistic rehabilitation. These initiatives are designed not merely to assist, but to enable individuals to lead dignified, self-reliant, and purpose-driven lives.

Our journey has been strengthened by the trust of our beneficiaries, the dedication of our volunteers, and the continued support of our partners, donors, and well-wishers. Their belief in our mission has allowed us to extend our reach and deepen our impact across communities.
